Category Manager

Category Manager

We are currently seeking an enthusiastic and professional individual to build their career with our Category Management Department as a Category Manager. This is a dynamic role where you will be a key part of our Category Management Team with objectives including:

  • SKU and Inventory optimization.
  • Attaining Category sales growth and profitability budget.
  • Establishing the right relationships, strategies, and plans to develop specific Categories.

Schedule: Monday - Friday 9:00 AM - 5:00 PM

Pay: $73,000 - $85,000 based on experience

Responsibilities:

  • Manage Category Vendor Relationships and Negotiations.
  • Lead Assessments, Reviews, and Strategic Planning for Category.
  • Negotiate lowest cost of goods and annual marketing programs.
  • Enhance IMA brand, Nicholas brand, and Partner Relationships.
  • Coordinate Marketing, Vendor, and Sales activities to hit Category objectives.
  • Define Category Segments, Definitions, and Role within Nicholas and Company.
  • Lead SKU management – manage, improve, and recommend company product assortment across categories.
  • Plan and Coordinate pricing strategies with the goal of maximizing sales and profit (“go to market” strategy across category segments).

Required:

  • At least 5 years of Foodservice or Retail experience.
  • Previous experience in Procurement, Marketing, or Supply Chains.
  • Manage change, demonstrate flexibility, and can prioritize amidst competing priorities.
  • Strong organizational, negotiation, listening, and communication skills, both verbal and written.
  • Strategic problem-solving skills, including problem analysis, decision making, strategic thinking, creativity, and innovation.
