Competency Mapping Intern

Human Resources Intern

We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Competency Mapping Intern to support our HR team in developing and enhancing our competency frameworks. This internship offers a unique opportunity to gain hands-on experience in talent management and organizational development.

Schedule: Part-Time position (32 hours or less a week). Work schedule is flexible but must be available during business hours (9am-6pm). This internship is project-based and will conclude on or before April 30, 2025, depending on completion of assigned project tasks. This a hybrid position.

Pay Range: $18-$25 per hour. Rate of pay will commensurate with experience, skills and qualifications. Candidates with a higher level of relevant experience may be offer a higher rate within the pay range for this position.

Responsibilities

  • Assist in the identification and analysis of key competencies for various roles within the organization.
  • Collaborate with team members to conduct research on industry standards and best practices in competency mapping.
  • Help design and implement competency assessment tools and methodologies.
  • Support the development of training materials and documentation related to competency frameworks.
  • Participate in stakeholder interviews and focus groups to gather insights and feedback.
  • Analyze data and provide recommendations for improving competency models.
  • Contribute to ongoing projects and initiatives within the HR department.

Requirements

  • Currently pursuing or recently completed a degree in Human Resources, Organizational Psychology, Business Administration, or a related field. At least one year of relevant experience is required for candidates who are not pursuing a degree or have not recently graduated.
  • Strong analytical and research skills.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Attention to detail and a proactive approach to problem-solving.
