IT Service Desk Analyst

Location Salt Lake City, UT

We are currently seeking an enthusiastic and professional individual to build their career with our IT Department as a part-time service desk analyst who is responsible for supporting internal and external customers that have issues with laptops, connectivity, access and business applications. The position requires a broad range of technical skills working in windows workstation environments, managing user access and groups in active directory, troubleshooting Wi-Fi issues, managing printers and RF devices, and setting up of Audio/Video conferencing for large meetings.   • Help resolve tickets logged within the Service Desk system per defined SLA’s
  • Assist in the creation and maintenance of an IT Service Catalog
  • Fix issues related to laptop/desktop/printer/RF devices (hardware installation and repair)
  • Troubleshoot windows desktop operating systems and desktop security
  • Image devices and back up end-user work environments
  • Configure and set up applications such as Microsoft System Center (SCCM), Mobile Device Management (MDM), etc.
  • Manage authentication, communication and productivity applications such as Office 365, Okta/Slack/Skype for Business/Zoom/Vidyo, etc.
  • Build PowerShell scripts to automate day to day tasks.
  • Help other team members identify patterns to improve time to resolution and first call resolution.
  • Engage end-users in troubleshooting their issues
  • Assist in identification of root cause for major issues.



  • 5+ years’ experience in IT desktop support (in Windows 7/10 environments)
  • Excellent client service skills in communicating with users on portal, email and telephone
  • Excellent organizational, analytical, written and oral skills
  • Demonstrate customer service best practices
  • Good understanding of ITIL standards
  • Working knowledge of agile practices (Scrum, Kanban, etc.)
  • Strong sense of ownership
  • Willingness to go above and beyond to chase down loose ends to keep customers happy
  • Ability to multitask and prioritize in a fast-paced environment
  • Ability to develop relationships and work with a wide variety of people
  • Lift up to 50 pounds
